My photography story begins as a teenager. After using a number of 110 format cameras and even a Polaroid to make images I decided it was time to move up. It was time for an 35mm SLR. It was 1982 and I was only 15. I had no money but I had a planRandy Mamola leads Eddie Lawson on the approach to (old) Turn 4 - Laguna Seca Raceway. Simple really... hound my parents into buying the camera for me as a birthday present. I begged, annoyed and cajoled them non-stop. It took months of the camera PR machine on constantly, even promising to chip in on the cost myself.  They finally relented and came through. My career as a photographer was born.

One thing I was as passionate about as taking pictures was motorcycle racing. So naturally I combined the two. In 1983 I photographed motorcycle Grand Prix racing for the first time. Now many years later I continue the pilgrimage to race tracks around the US.

I hope you enjoy the images on this website. They have been created with technology, luck and love of what I do.
